Truck & RV

We are keeping the Truck and RV for now so if we have the opportunity to go to a church for a few weeks at a time in order to help them start a Spanish ministry we can do it efficiently. It will have to be in the Springtime though since it will be hard to do it in freezing weather.

Vehicle

We have been able to secure a vehicle for the type of driving we will be doing here since we are surrounded by mountains and are continually needing 4 wheel drive. It will serve as a recreational vehicle to navigate around our mountains. We just went up and took an afternoon to see all the colors, it so reminds us of the goodness of God.

Plans

We plan to start a Spanish Bible study with a few families we know of that are not saved and are not attending any church. We also are helping FBC here in Ferron since they do not have a pastor. This helps our lack of support and gives us the ability to continue to minister to Hispanics.

Catching up on Health

We are grateful that we have not had many health problems over the years but as we get older we are having to attend to a few of them. Neither of us have seen a dentist in many years so we both have seen a dentist here and are having some problems solved. Neither of us have been to a Doctor in years either, it is hard to nail down times when you are moving so much. We are both planning to do physicals and any other tests that are recommended to do at this time of life. We do not have insurance that will pay for it so this is all out of pocket but we cannot put it off any longer.

SEBEL

Our online Spanish Seminary is up and running with the new server and other major changes. We have a good group of students and are excited about this year. Here is a quote from one of our students.

By the way. I wanted to tell you that SEBEL has its fruit and that they do make a difference. I was recently speaking with some graduates of well known fundamental Baptist schools and in terms of the quality of the teaching, SEBEL is not far behind at all. Of course there are good and bad students, but I was surprised that when they talked they were unaware of some issues. There were those who at the beginning, when I joined SEBEL, told me that it would not have much validity or quality because it was totally online. When the pandemic arrived they changed their minds. I have a friend who is studying for a master's degree at UCLA in Monterey and academically I think SEBEL is on par. Keep up the good work, of course there are things to improve or adjust, but the ministry of preparing servants of God is already being done.

Getting Settled

We are grateful to all those who helped us financially to make the move back to Utah. It is amazing how much it can cost to move between states. We are now settled and beginning to feel a bit more relaxed and normal again.
